Ulta Haul- High End to Drugstore: LORAC PRO 2 Palette, Maybelline The Nudes Palette, and More...

Hello Beauty Addicts!

Being the LORAC Cosmetics lover that I am, I had to pick up the new LORAC PRO 2 Palette. Or maybe not so new to the beauty world, since this palette has been out for a while. Still it is new to me no matter how late I am picking it up! I love the first LORAC PRO Palette so naturally I needed this palette. LORAC eye shadows are very nicely pigmented, extremely blendable, and smooth. I love how these eye shadows apply and stay put....

While at Ulta, I decided to pick up a few more things. I've been hearing mixed reviews on the Maybelline The Nudes palette. In the past, I have typically not been a fan of  Maybelline eye shadows since they are not as pigmented as I like and need. However, the neutral colors in this palette looked right up my alley so I decided to give it a try. So far the palette is ok but definitely not as intensely pigmented as the LORAC eye shadows....

Next, I stumbled upon Maybelline Leather Color Tattoo eye shadow in Creamy Beige. I do love these particular eye shadows, which I use for a base under my powder eye shadows. It really helps the eye shadow stay put and intensifies the color. This one in Creamy Beige is a dead on dupe for my beloved MAC Paint Pot in Groundwork. Bonus for me since the Maybelline Color Tattoos are way cheaper varying between $4-6 as opposed to $21 for MAC Groundwork.

The last random item I picked up was Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner. I've been having some recent skin issues, which is never any fun for a gal and it has left me with some unfortunate hyperpigmentation. I've heard great things about Glycolic Acids ability to fade dark spots and uneven skin tone. In particular with this toner, so I picked this up and will give it a try. Fingers crossed it works out for me!

Well that's all I picked up from Ulta. What things have you picked up from Ulta lately?

XOXO

La Femme Cosmetics Blush Review

Besides lip glosses, blushes are definitely another weakness of mine (OK let me be real..ALL makeup is a weakness of mine! lol)...But truly blushes are one of my favorites. Within the last couple of years, I have discovered blushes after joining different makeup forums and watching you-tube videos raving about blush. I have always been into makeup, but for some reason I always avoided blushes. That is until I discovered the true value of a great blush. It really does add that something extra to the complexion and can really make your face glow...

Well I had read and saw a couple of reviews on these La femme blushes. What interested me most was the insane pigmentation people raved about. Being the brown skin girl that I am, pigmentation is a must. So I decided to try these out and yes they are LOVE <3. Definitely pigmented and they come in an array of different colors. Textures range from matte, low shimmer, and high shimmer. I placed my first order back in November and picked up Terra Cotta, Russet, Purple Passion, Golden Russet, Golden Rose, and Framboesia. Once I received these I knew I HAD to have more. Next I ordered Sienna, Plum Frost, Peach Sparkle (on backorder), Mocha, Golden Ruby, Cinnabar, and Bordeaux.

These blushes are everything I ever wanted in a blush...pigmented, smooth, and silky. The best part of these blushes is that they are extremely affordable. I ordered mine from makeupmania.com for $2.50 each! I ordered them in the pan, but you can also order them in the pot for $3.00. I ordered a 15 pan palette from bf-beauty.com for about $7 that fits them perfectly. LOVE these blushes. They definitely rival some of my MAC blushes. My favorites right now are Sienna, Terra Cotta, and Plum Frost.

Check out the sample pics below to see the pigmentation. These definitely must be used with a light hand for the risk of looking like a clown...lol

Hope you check them out!
